TRAVEL IN THE WIND
The show features some young musicians from the Apulia Youth Symphony Orchestra (AYSO). that make up the Ayso Wind Ensemble.
The repertoire, in an evocative and overwhelming musical journey for wind instruments only, includes pieces by composers who lived between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
The atmospheres recalled are those of France in the late nineteenth century with the Divertissement (1894) by Emile Bernard, the emotional and engaging impulses of the symphony of Luisa Miller (1849) by Giuseppe Verdi and the evocative nature of the interlude by Manon Lescaut (1889-1892 ) Giacomo Puccini.
The repertoire will be completed by the Sinfonietta by the German Joseph Joachim Raff who coined this term to indicate an orchestral work similar to a symphony, but shorter in content, with a lightness of touch in the score ideal for a small group of wind instruments.
